UBG Fighting Styles: All 31 Ranked by Rarity

How Styles Work

Your fighting style defines how you box — damage, dodge speed, block value, regen and a signature ultimate. New styles come from spins (which is why codes matter: most drops are spin bundles), and rarer tiers can roll Shiny variants that feed the trading economy.

31 styles exist as of the Surgeon patch, across five rarities: Uncommon, Rare, Mythic, Legendary, Shiny.

Legendary Styles

The rarest normal tier — the ranked meta lives here:

  • Surgeon — August’s addition; precision counters (deep dive)
  • Ghost — elite evasion, weak only when chasing big HP gaps
  • White Ash — the consistent trade-math pick
  • Freedom — switches between styles mid-fight; the game-knowledge reward
  • Chronos, Slugger, Hawk, Iron Fist, Corkscrew, Shotgun, Supernova — the established roster, ranked on the tier list

Mythic Styles

One tier down, still ranked-viable: Ippo (reworked in August — currently the community obsession), Hitman, Wolf, Hands Low, Switch Hit.

Uncommon and Rare

Basic (“basic doesn’t mean bad” — balanced stats, Full Force Uppercut ultimate) and Smash (high-damage signature that’s hard to land) anchor the starter tiers. They teach fundamentals; expect to outgrow them in ranked.

Anime Roots

Style names track the boxing-anime canon — Ippo and Takamura nod to Hajime no Ippo, and the wiki keeps a “Types of Boxers” page mapping styles to archetypes (in-fighter, out-boxer, counter). If a style’s description confuses you, its anime source usually explains the kit.

Which Style Should You Chase?

Short answer: the tier list — one verdict for the current patch instead of five conflicting community charts. Spend your spins after reading it, not before.
