UBG Beginner Guide: First Fights Done Right

First Session Checklist

1. Redeem everything

Five codes are active worth 20+ spins combined. Codes die without warning — the single-source ones especially. Do this before your first match.

2. Learn on Basic

Basic style is genuinely fine (“basic doesn’t mean bad” per its own description — balanced stats, real ultimate). Blocking, dodge timing and stamina reads transfer to every style; spin luck doesn’t.

3. Understand what spins buy

Styles come in five rarities — Uncommon through Legendary, plus Shiny variants (full roster). Legendary odds are low; that’s why the code stack matters and why veterans hoard spins for rate-up windows.

The Three New-Player Traps

  1. Spending spins one at a time the moment you get them. Bank them; spend with a plan after reading the tier list.
  2. Trading a lucky shiny for quick cash. Check the values guide first — shiny lowballing targets exactly you.
  3. Copying ranked styles without fundamentals. Surgeon in the hands of a new player is a donation to the opponent (why).

Your First Week

Fundamentals on Basic → redeem and bank codes → learn two matchup archetypes (in-fighter vs out-boxer — the game’s anime DNA) → first serious spins after the tier list read → dip into ranked once you can block on reaction.
